Surrender

Surrender a ferret

Life happens. Whether it’s a move, a new job, a health issue, or medical needs that have become more than you can manage, we’re here to help, without judgment. Tell us about your ferret(s) and we’ll reach out to talk through next steps.

How it works

  1. Tell us about your ferret(s)

Fill out the form below with as much detail as you can. It helps us prepare the right care.

  2. We’ll reach out

We’ll contact you to talk through your situation, answer your questions, and make sure we have space.

  3. Plan the hand-off

Together we’ll pick a time to bring your ferret(s) into our care, along with any records and supplies.

  4. A fresh start

Your ferret gets a vet check, any treatment they need, and lots of love while we find the right forever home.

If your ferret is sick or injured, please contact a veterinarian right away.

Surrender request form

It takes about 10 minutes. You can add more than one ferret.

Fields marked * are required. Everything else is optional but helps us prepare.

Common questions

Do you accept senior or sick ferrets?

Yes. Senior and special-needs ferrets are a big part of why we exist. Please share everything you know about their health so we can be ready to care for them.

Is there a surrender fee?

We’ll talk about this when we contact you. A surrender donation helps cover vet care for incoming ferrets, but we never want cost to stand between a ferret and the help they need.

What should I bring?

Any vet records, the food your ferret eats now (to make the switch easier), medications, and familiar things like a favorite hammock or toy.

Can I get updates after my ferret is in your care?

Just ask! We know how much you care, and we’re happy to share updates when we can.

I’m not sure I need to surrender. Can you help?

Please reach out anyway. Sometimes advice about diet, behavior, or health can help a ferret stay in their home, and keeping ferrets with their families is part of our mission.
